In a bid to empower business owners, entrepreneurs build bankable and sustainable brands in the growing economy, Octo Consult recently held the 2018 edition of BrandMe Class with the theme “Profiting from Your Brands”.
Designed to help create a bespoke personal brand that will in return empower participants to clarify and communicate their unique intrinsic brand value,this year’s edition of the Brand class which took place at Eko Hotels and Suites had in attendance no fewer than 300 participants cum Brand enthusiasts with the intent of connecting to exceptional opportunities and power up for outstanding personal/career success.
Present at this year’s edition of the BrandMe Class were; Foremost blogger and social media expert, Japheth Omojuwa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LandWey Investment Limited, Olawale Ayilara, Senior Communications Associate, West Africa at Uber, Fransisca Uriri, principal consultant of ADSTRAT Branding Management Consortium, Charles Otudor and Chairman/CEO CvMetric Network Company, Jazaza E-Commerce Ltd, Abiodun Sowemimo.

While delivering his speech on how Individuals can profit from their personal Brands, Olawale Ayilara of Landwey noted that; one needs to understand the rudiment of creating loyalty to your Brand as this would in return help increase ones customer lifetime value.
“Build your strength with the most difficult client – Your strength is as to how you are able to deal with that Client that is trying to create a Scene. Moreso, never slam the door at any client,” Ayilara noted.
Recalling how he started LandWey, Ayilara explained that: “When we were starting LandWey it wasn’t just about making money. I had read about a hundred books on Real Estate, and that is why I encourage Individual brands to always make researches, not just about prayers.”
Another mindblowing presentation was done by Chiarperson Lawyers Forum – NBA Lagos and CEO of Inblack & White, Derin Fagbure in a totally interactive laden atmosphere. She advised all Brand enthusiasts to Love, Own and do what they do with the whole of their heart.
“Nobody can sell you as well as you will. You are your own greatest fan. Own your brand and do your best to sell that brand. You are a Moving Brand,” Fagbure noted.
Mr Showemimo of Jazaza also implored participants at the BrandMe Class to always have it at the back of their minds that Capacity sections like this should not be underestimated. In his words he noted that as far as Profiting from ones brand is concerned, it is advisable not to invite a client one cannot satisfy.
“Expand your coast but do it with calculated figures. Also add knowledge and understand that every progress you make should be built around your Brand,” Showemimo added.
Following his presentation, were also presentations by Uber’s Fransisca Uriri and foremost Analysts Omojuwa where they charged all Brand executives, managers and content specialists to always position and act of selling themselves as brands.
According to the experts, individuals are brands in their own way and should act diligently in their disposition of duties; this would in return transform their Brand positioning, business landscape, workforce ecosystem as well as end financial breakthrough.
BrandMe Class is an idea that was born in 2015 to help develop more practical programmes that will give business owners access to knowledge, skills on personal branding and business branding. It is beneficial to people from all walks of life and at all stages of personal growth.
